What you will find here

Three pages, each resolving one fit-or-format question that decides whether money is well spent. Nothing here is about which camera is better than which.

• Will my old lenses work on this body? — I own lenses from my old camera. Will they fit the mirrorless body, and will autofocus still work?
• What a focal length does on your sensor — Is a 35mm lens wide on my crop sensor? And is f/1.8 on crop 'really' f/2.7?
• Which card won't stop recording — The manual says V60, the box says 'up to 280MB/s'. Which card do I actually buy?

How the pages are put together

Every figure is traced to a document we opened and read, and that document is listed at the bottom of the page with the date we read it. We prefer manufacturer specifications, published standards and official support documentation, and we quote them narrowly rather than generalising beyond what they say.

Where the answer depends on your exact model, we say so and point you at the specification field to look up. Knowing which number governs is more durable than being handed a guess.
